I enjoy being on the university campus and making a difference on campus and in the community. I am a professor with about 20 years of leadership experience in higher education. I perceive leadership as service to humanity, and I embrace the servant leadership model of Christ Jesus. I am a mentor who leads by example, enthusiastic, a team-player, and I love teaching and impacting the next generation. I joined Belmont University in 2022, and I am greatly inspired by the Christ centered mission of the University. I serve as a Fashion Professor.
I am conferred as a distinguished professor in both teaching and scholarship/research. I served as an academic program coordinator in two other universities in the USA. I have experience in academic curriculum planning, program articulation, program assessment, innovative course creation, internship coordination, development, and academic advising. Serving others and making a difference on campus and in the community is my delight. I am currently honored to serve as the faculty service-learning fellow. I have published 20+ articles in peer-reviewed journals. I have valuable 21st century technology skills.
At Belmont, I have assisted in the day-to-day running of the college. I assisted in faculty training and teaching evaluation; college goals realization; university program assessment; coordinated facilities oversight; coordinated curriculum and catalogue; coordinated summer programs, and faculty and staff hiring and training. I coordinated the adult degree, transfer students, and first-generation students. I coordinate advising for students with concerns, and honor students academic advising. I serve in the university assessment team, scholarship and research and adults learner committee. I enjoy teaching three classes and advising students. I seamlessly combine classroom teaching with mentoring students to conduct innovative and impactful entrepreneurial projects.
