'Through intentional compassionate practices, we can create environments where everyone feels empowered to contribute, learn, and inspired to succeed. Compassion can transform classrooms, and workspaces to powerful places for restoring human relationships since we live in a time marked by increasing loneliness, burnout, and disconnection.'

I believe compassion is a strategic leadership practice that drives innovation, collaboration, retention, and long-term success. Whether I am facilitating a workshop, delivering a keynote, coaching leaders, or partnering with institutions on culture transformation, my goal is simple: to help organizations make compassion an everyday practice.

Because when people experience compassion, they do more than succeed—they thrive.

I help educational institutions, organizations, and leaders create cultures where people feel valued, connected, and empowered to thrive. With nearly 25 years of experience in higher education as an educator, researcher, and administrator, I have dedicated my career to transforming classrooms and workplaces through the power of compassion.

I hold both a Ph. D and a Master's degree in Workforce Education and Development, and my work has focused on one central belief: people perform at their best when they feel seen, heard, and supported. As an award-winning educator I have been recognized for excellence in service, teaching and research. I have presented at more than 50 regional, national, and international conferences. My research and practice center on the compassionate classroom and the role human connection plays in learning, engagement, belonging, and organizational success.

Through consulting, workshops, and keynote presentations, I help educators and institutions:

  • Build authentic relationships with students

  • Create inclusive and engaging learning environments

  • Increase student motivation, participation, and retention

  • Foster belonging and psychological safety

  • Balance academic rigor with empathy and care

  • Integrate compassion into everyday teaching practices

I have been consistently described as welcoming, energizing, and transformative. Students I have taught looked forward to attending my classes because they experience joy, encouragement, and genuine connection.

Beyond the classroom, I bring nearly two decades of leadership experience in higher education administration. Having worked closely with faculty, staff, and leadership teams, I understand the complexities of workplace culture and the challenges organizations face in building healthy, sustainable environments.

My compassionate workplace consulting equips organizations to cultivate cultures where employees flourish through:

  • Empathetic leadership practices

  • Effective communication and relationship-building

  • Employee engagement and well-being

  • Inclusive team cultures

  • Conflict resolution and trust-building

  • Sustainable strategies for reducing burnout
